Ovă Umplute aka Deviled Eggs


Deviled Eggs

Ingredients:

  • Eggs

  • Mayonnaise

  • Yellow Mustard

  • Salt and Pepper

  • Paprika

  • Mushrooms



Recipe:

  1. Boil eggs until they are firm.

  2. While the eggs are boiling, wash and peel mushrooms and boil until there is foam.

  3. Remove mushrooms from heat and then place in a food processor until finely processed. Store until eggs are done boiling.

  4. Once the eggs are firm rinse the eggs in cold water.

  5. Crack the eggs and leave them in the cold water as it will make it easier to peel the eggshell off without damaging the egg's shape.

  6. After soaking cracked eggs, begin to peel the shells off eggs.

  7. Take peeled eggs and cut them in half and place the yolks in a bowl and halves on a platter.

  8. Once all eggs are cut, take the yolks and mash them.

  9. Finely chop up some parsley and mix with the yolks.

  10. Next, take the processed mushrooms, squeeze out excess liquid and add to the yolk mixture.

  11. Add a generous amount of mayonnaise, mustard, salt & pepper to taste preference.

  12. Mix all together, then fill the egg whites with yolk mixture and sprinkle paprika.

  13. Best served cold.

  14. Enjoy!
